Trailer

A preview of coming attractions, the Trailer is an artistic interpretation of the day, usually up to 4 minutes. Tearful, boucy or more often both, the Trailer attempts to distill reality down to the basic molecules of magic. The music and editing style is inspired by the aesthetics and the energy of the day. The Trailer is usually ready within one month of the event.

Feature

An immersive and flowing account of the day, the Feature weaves 20 minutes of documentary and cinematic footage for a storytelling experience that attempts not just to remind, but to make the audience feel they were there again. And again. The music choices can be collaborative if desired, usually ready within 6 months.

Ceremony

Mawwiage. Mawwiage is wat bwings us togeder today. Mawwiage, that bwessed awwangement—  Ok, so basically it is the entire ceremony, beginning to end, as long as it might be, as a separate film.

Toasts

“And now, the Best Man would like to say a few words.” You cringe, you squirm. Because you haven’t approved the Toast. And his body produces its own alcohol, in addition to the shots he’s been having with you all day. And he knows things. At least by now you’re married, it’s too late for the in-laws to object. Brace for impact, this is all recorded and delivered as a separate film, every speech, beginning to end. Just laugh for the camera, you’ll kill him later.

Super 8mm (shown here as Featurette)

The Super 8mm camera shoots film, the real unadulterated thing, developed in a darkroom with chemicals and stuff. The nostalgia of colors, scratches, shake and imperfections hits you like a fistful of 4th of Julys, from a century when “digital” was something that science fiction comics would reject for being more far fetched than tentacles from outer space. The footage can be used throughout the Trailer and Feature, or as a standalone Featurette.

Timelapse (shown here as Featurette)

Whether static or dynamic, the Timelapse’s forced perspective allows us to witness in mere seconds transformations that took hours (days, weeks or even a year) to occur. Most often used in short sequences throughout a Feature or Trailer, the Timelapse can also be commissioned as a standalone Featurette. It takes a minimum of one geek, a couple of cameras and an incommensurate amount of patience… but not from you, you just party!

Aerial (presented intermixed in Trailer)

Operated by a dedicated, licensed and insured drone pilot, the … Aerial Crew … [wind wooshing] … are not the men they think they are at home / Oh no no no they’re rocket men / Rocket men burning out their fuse up here alone / Rocket men …. [song fading in the wind, overimpose William Shatner, fade out] …

Rehearsal Dinner

“I do”? How do you spell that? Sometimes you need to see the script. But most of the times, you want to give your liver a written warning: this is we trained for, things are about to go down! It’s a pre-game, warm-up, scotch-off, get that embarrassing speech out of your system. And tomorrow we’re all gonna be prim and proper, hangovers are for the weak.

Save The Date

Sometimes you’re just that cool. You could mail a card invitation, and you will, for all the over-50 crowd. But you’ve got the itchy pants. You’re pumped. This is not just going to be a wedding, it is gonna friggin’ rock! You just got to let your people know to bring special dance shoes and reinforced pants. And the backup liver.
